So I tried something a little different with this grid. I made it a 16×14. Why? Well, I wanted to do 12-letter triple stacks. Obviously, you can’t do that in a 15×15 without a whole swath of black squares or breaking basic conventions, so I stretched the grid a bit in one direction and squashed it a bit in the other. It’s a bit odd-looking, what with the same symmetry as usual but an even number of rows and columns (or should I say “even-looking”?). Oh, and the seed? It’s 16-Across, but, like last week with the “Game of Thrones” language, I haven’t ever set foot in a Taco Bell, never mind eaten one of those things.
As always, I’d like to know, folks… comment is welcome! Come say hello! What did you like? What could I do better?
As always, share this link! Pass it around! New puzzle on Tuesday!
That grid was awesome. Both 12-letter triple stacks were awesome and very gettable. I’ve never heard of 16A but with the crosses it becomes obvious once it is filled in. I’ve never heard of 41A or 22A (which I should know since I studied the history of art and architecture). The cluing for 10D and 11D was excellent, and 35A and 36A got a chuckle out of me. Great job!

Maybe the best thing on the menu. I’m always bummed when I miss the 11:00 am cutoff.

Nothing against Taco Bell but I’m not a big fast food guy in general.
